What is Comprehensive Formation?

 

Comprehensive Formation refers to an educational approach that combines various disciplines into a single complete program. In the context of vocational formation, this means the integration of classical ballet, dance, and musical theater. Through this method, students are trained exhaustively in each of these areas, developing skills and knowledge that cover all the artistic disciplines included in the program. In this way, a comprehensive and versatile preparation is ensured that allows professionals to excel in multiple facets of the artistic field.

The dancer's true learning takes place on stage. For this reason, we have our own company, which aims to present a minimum of eight performances a year. Final year students, whether formation as dancers or teachers, will have the opportunity to undertake paid internships, ensuring complete and enriching professional formation.

We offer you the possibility of being hired with social security registration, either performing teaching duties at Fame Factory or as a Dancer in our company. This not only allows you to complete your internship exceptionally well, but also gives you the opportunity to build a solid and promising work history.

For everything to be possible, a great organization is needed and we are divided into different departments.

We organize schedules, develop personalized study plans, conduct detailed follow-ups, coordinate performance dates, offer scholarship advice, provide specific preparation for auditions and competitions, and provide individualized tutoring.

We take care of providing support in monitoring your development, recording the classes on video for your review. We also take care of the production of all the audiovisual material necessary for performances, open classes and events.

 

Additionally, in the last year of your training, we give you the opportunity to create a video resume and a photo book to highlight your skills and achievements.

We specialize in complete wardrobe management for the Company, ensuring that each garment perfectly combines comfort and a high professional standard in each performance.

We take care of handling all administrative procedures related to the Company, including the coordination of performance dates.

Christian Erazo López, Director of Fame Factory, is responsible for supervising each of our students, providing close monitoring and planning private classes to ensure exceptional formation.

You will find two types of training:

 

1. Formation for professional dancer.

2. Teacher formation.

 

You can choose between these two trainings, the one that best suits your needs.

The age of the students ranges between 18 and 28 years old. There is no age limit for those who wish to train as teachers.

The duration of each training covers three school years, with a school year that extends from September to June of each year.

Our evaluation system includes continuous evaluations throughout the course, as well as a final theoretical and practical exam at the end of the course.

 

Upon completing the training, students receive a private qualification supported by Factory Ballet Madrid and all its teachers.

Below, we detail what each course consists of according to the type of professional dancer or training to be a teacher:

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FOR DANCERS.

-2 weekly classes that combine theory and practice in each dance discipline.

-2 hours per week dedicated to improving flexibility, with options such as floor bar work or maintenance.

-Participation in an annual professional internship in a theater.

-An initial module on anatomy applied to dance.

-Final exam to evaluate mastery of the acquired knowledge and skills.

-2 weekly classes that combine theory and practice in each discipline.

-2 hours per week dedicated to flexibility activities, floor bar or physical maintenance.

-Participation in two professional internships in the theater.

-Continuation with the second study module of anatomy applied to dance.

-Final evaluation to conclude the academic year.

-2 weekly classes that integrate both theory and practice of each discipline.

-2 hours per week dedicated to flexibility activities, floor bar work or physical maintenance.

-8 Professional internships in the theater to obtain practical experience.

-Continuation with the third module of anatomy applied to dance for a deeper knowledge of the human body.

-Paid performance opportunities for students selected in the company's first cast.

-Final evaluation to complete the academic year.

During the development of the career:

 

- First year students will participate in an annual show.

- Second year students will have the opportunity to participate in two shows a year.

- Final year students will star in a total of eight shows throughout the academic year.

 

Upon completion of the race:

- Final year students will be hired with social security registration. They will sign a contract for performances or teaching internships at Fame Factory. This measure guarantees that the internships and training acquired are officially recognized in your work history.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FOR TEACHERS.

-2 weekly classes that cover both theory and practice in each discipline.

-2 hours per week for flexibility, floor bar or maintenance activities.

-Carrying out a professional internship in the theater every year.

-Weekly participation as a listener in children's dance classes for one hour.

-Beginning of the first module of current pedagogy applied to dance.

-Beginning of the first module of anatomy applied to dance.

-Final evaluation at the end of the academic year to measure progress.

-Two weekly classes that integrate theory and practice in each discipline.

-Two hours per week dedicated to flexibility, floor bar or physical maintenance activities to improve technique and physical condition.

-Participation in two professional internships in the theater to gain real-world experience.

-Two hours a week as a listener in children's dance classes to expand understanding of the art of dance.

-Continuation with the second module of current pedagogy applied to dance to improve teaching skills.

-Advance to the second module of anatomy applied to dance to deepen your knowledge of the human body.

-Final exam to evaluate performance and knowledge acquired during the year.

-Two weekly classes that include theory and practice in each discipline,

-Two hours per week dedicated to flexibility activities, floor bar or physical maintenance to improve technique and performance.

-Four professional practices in the theater.

-One hour per week as a listener in children's dance classes to expand understanding of the art of dance.

-One hour per week as a teacher, with paid internships and registration with social security.

-Continuation with the third module of current pedagogy applied to dance.

-Advance to the third module of anatomy applied to dance to deepen your knowledge of the human body in movement.

-Final exam to evaluate performance and acquired knowledge.

For First Year Students:

- Classes as listeners: 1 hour per week in dance classes.

- Shows: 1 annual show.

 

For Second Year Students:

- Classes as listeners: 2 hours per week in dance classes.

- Shows: 2 shows annually.

 

For Final Year Students:

- Classes as listeners: 1 hour per week in ballet classes.

- Internship as a teacher: 1 hour per week with a paid contract and registration with social security. The costs are borne by Fame Factory and Factory Ballet Madrid.

- Shows: 8 shows annually.

- Internship contract: Final year students will be hired with social security registration, signing a contract for performances or teaching practices at Fame Factory. This guarantees that the internships and training are reflected in their work life.

Admission Process for First Year Applicants:

An audition is not necessary. Applicants will be evaluated through an in-person interview or by video call.

Our entrance test is carried out in person. To participate, simply follow these steps:

 

1. Submit your artistic resume along with photos or a video that reflects your talent and passion for dance.

2. Wait for the confirmation email, where we will provide you with all the details about the test and your appointment.

Applicants who reside outside of Madrid have the option of carrying out the selection process online.

 

To do this, they must send their artistic resume, along with photos or videos representative of their work. Once received, you will be sent a confirmation email, which will indicate the date and time to carry out the interview via video call.
