What is Artist Gymnastics?

Artistic gymnastics combines rhythmic and acrobatic movements, using various gymnastic apparatus to demonstrate flexibility, coordination, strength, balance and agility.

This discipline not only requires that the movements be coordinated and correct, but also elegant, striking and beautiful, which is why it is compared to ballet.

The goal of gymnasts is to perform movements in the most elegant, precise, coordinated and effective way possible, with the aesthetic aspect being fundamental in the evaluation of their performances.

In our school, artistic gymnastics is practiced by both girls and boys, from 5 to 13 years old, either in groups or individually. In artistic gymnastics classes, flexibility, coordination and balance are worked on, all in exercises performed on the ground.
