Reggaeton is a form of urban music that has its roots in Latin and Caribbean music. Its sound comes from Reggae in Spanish from Panama. The genre was invented, molded and made known in Puerto Rico from where it got its name; most of its current artists are also from Puerto Rico

  Reggaeton has its own specific rhythm and rhythm, while Latin hip hop is simply hip hop recorded by artists of Latin descent.
